Dear Writers and Readers,
As the volunteer curation team of ILLUMINATION network, we are excited to curate and feature eclectic newsletters for our readers to help them explore and possibly subscribe to. We give many options from our curated collections nominated by community members. We found great newsletters in February and will share them with you for further visibility.
Although Medium is declining with around 1 story in 500, integrating Substack with Medium is a good approach to gain more subscribers. Now is the best time to start Substack, considering the challenges of Medium, which is no longer a sole income option for many freelance writers. Diversifying your content is the best approach from our experience.
It is inspiring to see lots of freelance writers contributing to our publications on Medium now have created their newsletters on Substack, owning their content and audiences for their writing business. Kudos all! This is a great start for our creators like you to take ownership of your content gradually and continue to build mailing lists using the power of multiple platforms in an integrated way.
As publication editors and curators our goal is to support you in this journey by guiding and featuring your content to find new readers. We are working on the design improvement and testing of our new Substack Mastery Boost pilot. You can subscribe to one of the tiers like free, $5, or $15 monthly.
Dr Yildiz offers founding membership to his Content Marketing Strategy Insights basic subscribers by the end of this month as a new year present. He also offers complementary membership to our 5 publications so you can get access to all our publications for $5. He also created a new Illumination Book Club to empower book authors and aspiring authors and will announce it to.
As announced in the previous updates we have started this exciting program Substack Mastery Boost planned for 12 months to try. If it becomes successful, which we believe it will be, we will offer a low-cost education and marketing service to freelance writers and entrepreneurs who want to scale their writing and content marketing business.
Substack Mastery Boost is an educational, collaborative, and promotional tool for our community to shine and illuminate society. We are a diverse and inclusive community and look forward to your support and meaningful engagement with our community for mutual growth. We now have a Ko-Fi page to update you.
We have a strategy and plan for our 3 tier members. All authentic and ethical writers are invited to join our journey free or paid if they can afford it. We opened a collaboration channel on ILLUMINATION’s Slack workspace to support members.
To make them easier and more manageable, we updated submission guidelines for our major publications such as ILLUMINATION, Curated Newsletters, SYNERGY (Newsletter Booster), Technology Hits, and ILLUMINATION Book Chapters, Readers Hope, Magnetic Newsletter Pro, and Health & Science Publication.
Our new publication Substack Mastery Boost will be the tool on Medium to connect freelance writers among multiple platforms. Substack Mastery Boost Publication Submission Guidelines.
In addition, we created a new initiative called ILLUMINATION Health & Wellness Network. Dr Yildiz explained the purpose and strategy of this new venture will will support our writers, readers, and collaborators.
Why I Created a Health and Wellness Network on Substack & How I Will Support It
He now integrates our Health/Wellness network with freelancing one to create a better synergy. In a such a short time 67K+ members joined our networks.
We will guide you through ILLUMINATION Library for Freelance Writers and our upcoming unique community publication ILLUMINATION Writing Academy. The editorial team will educate and inspire subscribers through Content Marketing Strategy Insights publication. It already has books and training programs uploaded for members.
Thank you for following and subscribing to our publication on Substack. We can now easily find your newsletters and feature them in our curated collection. By using the power of Medium and Substack platforms, we will help you build your audience with collaboration and joy. Without a community, Substack could be lonely for freelance writers.
To support our community of writers Dr Yildiz authored an educational and comprehensive book, Substack Mastery, which will guide you on this journey. His book helped many writers to start Substack quickly. Those writers are now building their audiences, and some even have paid members. If you are not a member here, you can read the chapters for free on Medium and his website via the following links in the first chapter: Preface of “Substack Mastery” for Beta Readers.
His new book A Powerful Toolkit for Advanced Substack Newsletter Mastery was published and now available in book stores. However, he is offering the chapters of both books including the audio versions in his Content Marketing Strategy Insights publication on Substack.
In addition, our editor, curator, and media coordinator Aiden created an education program titled From Zero to Substack Hero based on his Substack books. His program, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 are published on Udemy with discount vouchers for Medium and Substack writers. It will be around 65 modules. Aiden also shares the videos with the members of Content Marketing Strategy Insights on Substack.
Guest Blogging for Writers and YouTube Channel
Dr Yildiz opened his website to guest bloggers, a community blogging facility. So, we introduce a new blogging environment on our website to enhance the visibility of Medium stories and Substack newsletters. This approach will boost SEO, making it easier for readers to discover content through search engines and increasing the likelihood of converting visitors into newsletter subscribers.
We are launching a video and podcasting service on our community YouTube channel, further expanding the reach and visibility of our writers’ work across multiple mediums. Our media coordinator Aiden will be leading this initiative. You are welcome to share your videos on our channel.
He created a short video with some descriptions of the services we will provide. Join our exciting journey to reap the benefits of community spirit. Please subscribe to our Substack Channel to get Curated Content from Experienced Writers. Aiden will post our podcasts to our YouTube channel with subtitles.
Inspiration for Beginners from Writer Interviews
Dr Yildiz interviewed some influential or best-selling authors on Substack to inspire you. Now our new team Substack Boost Pilot will publish interview stories. The Purpose of this Series on Medium and Substack for New Writers and Readers
In each episode, we introduce you to some newsletters of our contributors and publish them on both platforms. This offer is open to all authentic writers adhering to platform rules and our publication guidelines. We don’t allow harmful content, plagiarism, and AI-written content. We accept newsletters on any topic.
In this series, we give you several options on eclectic topics. Please check out these newsletters covering different topics, consider following the profiles, and subscribe if they resonate with you.
